KTZ management has ordered the elimination of delays in the reconstruction of Semey, Ayagoz, and Aktogay railway stations

Bauyrzhan Urynbassarov, Acting Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, visited the Ayagoz and Semey railway stations during a working trip to inspect the progress of passenger infrastructure modernization.

In the Abai Region, 10 railway stations are currently undergoing reconstruction as part of the instructions issued by the Head of State and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

To date, works have been completed and stations at Aul and Bel-Agash have been put into operation. Modernization continues at Degelen, Ushbiik, Zhalanashkol, Shar, Zharma, Semey, Ayagoz, and Aktogay stations.

During the inspection, Bauyrzhan Urynbassarov reviewed the pace of construction and installation works, the condition of the facilities, and adherence to the project schedules.

Following the inspection of the Semey and Ayagoz stations, contractors were ordered to eliminate delays from the approved construction schedule within one week. To accelerate project delivery, instructions were given to increase headcount on-site, organize a second shift, and submit an updated schedule targeting the completion of all construction and installation works by September of this year.

Furthermore, directives were issued to ensure daily monitoring of compliance with these instructions and the approved schedule. Similar orders were given regarding the reconstruction of the Aktogay railway station.

Upon completion of the modernization, the stations will meet modern safety, accessibility, and comfort standards, thereby improving the quality of passenger service.
