An operational headquarters has been established and an action plan encompassing 15 key areas has been approved at KTZ – Freight Transportation LLP. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of the transportation process and guarantee the reliable operation of the company under low temperatures and unstable weather conditions.

A total of 608 service and production facilities must be prepared for winter. To date, work has been completed at 374 of these sites, while preparations continue at the remaining 234. Out of 22 buildings scheduled for routine maintenance, 15 are fully prepared.

Maintenance of the heating system is also underway; work is planned for 78 boiler houses, 42 of which have already been completed. Deliveries of technical coal are being carried out strictly according to the approved schedule.

Employees are being provided with winter workwear and footwear. The delivery plan is on track: the bulk of the warm clothing will arrive by October 15, while specialized footwear shipments will commence in October.

Special emphasis is being placed on personnel training: 1,462 "first-winter" workers will undergo training to prepare for operations under winter conditions. These new employees have already been assigned to experienced mentors.

A total of 1,661 locomotives are scheduled to be prepared for winter operations. The transition of the traction rolling stock to the winter operating mode is being conducted between September 10 and October 30. The progress of all operations remains under the constant supervision of the headquarters.
