KTZ is launching a new railway route between Astana and Taldykorgan with new RWS Wagon carriages

The route was launched due to a high number of requests from the public.
Two compartment and two reserved seat cars will be used for this route. The service will run every other day, providing regular service between the capital and the Zhetysu region.
From Astana, the cars will travel as part of train №122/121 "Nurly Zhol - Semey." At Aktogay station, they will be coupled to train №631/632 "Aktogay - Taldykorgan," and then continue to Taldykorgan station.
Departure from Astana (Nurly Zhol) - from April 9th on odd days at 6:32 AM, arriving in Taldykorgan at 11:05 AM. Return trains from Taldykorgan depart on even-numbered days starting April 10th at 12:15 PM, arriving in Astana at 7:30 PM. Estimated travel time is approximately 28 hours.
“The new 45 series carriages meet modern safety, energy efficiency, and comfort requirements. The interior is made of wear-resistant materials and features climate control and air disinfection systems, convertible berths, USB ports and 220V sockets, Wi-Fi, LED lighting, and modern thermal insulation. The carriages are equipped with video surveillance and fire suppression systems, as well as central air conditioning, ensuring comfort year-round. For passenger convenience, audio information systems, electronic displays, and exit lighting have been installed,” noted JSC Passenger Transportation.
Rolling stock upgrades and route network expansion remain priority areas of activity as part of the implementation of the strategic objectives of the transport industry.
