KTZ launches domestic digital platform for freight transportation analytics into commercial operation
14-07-2026
JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) has launched the KTZ Cargo Reporting information system—a domestic digital platform for transportation data processing and freight analytics—into commercial operation.
The initiative has become one of the company's largest IT projects in recent years. KTZ has completely migrated from a foreign software solution used for over 30 years to its own Kazakhstani development. This transition has ensured technological independence and improved the efficiency of transportation data management.
The previously used system, Unified Complex for Integrated Processing of Waybills, no longer met modern requirements. Its architecture was outdated, its development potential was limited, and some of the data processing algorithms remained closed and insufficiently documented.
KTZ Cargo Reporting was designed with KTZ's business needs in mind and provides a modern technological foundation for the company's ongoing digital transformation.
The system features a microservice architecture, a centralized data warehouse, automated format and logic control, and integration with KTZ's corporate information systems. It also includes tools for monitoring, backup, analytics, and reporting.
The deployment of the platform has accelerated the processing of transportation data, shortened the time required to prepare analytical reports, enhanced data control quality, and automated a number of business processes.
Future plans include expanding the system's analytical capabilities, further integrating it with corporate services, implementing intelligent data analysis tools, and automating new business processes.
