KTZ Hosts Anti-Corruption Training Event

"National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC hosted a training event for members of the Management Board and executive leadership, focusing on current advancements in the anti-corruption legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the development of the compliance system.

The speakers included representatives from the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Public Service Affairs, as well as a representative from the Compliance Service of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC.

The training covered the latest amendments to anti-corruption legislation aimed at strengthening preventive mechanisms, improving the regulation of conflicts of interest, expanding requirements for declaring personal interests, increasing the transparency of HR procedures, and strengthening the accountability of officials. It also addressed the development of the compliance function and its role within the corporate governance system. Special emphasis was placed on the practical application of new legal norms and their implementation within quasi-public sector entities.

The representative from the "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC Compliance Service highlighted the enforcement of anti-corruption restrictions within national companies, the resolution of conflicts of interest, compliance with legally mandated prohibitions and restrictions, and the personal accountability of executives in maintaining an effective system for preventing corruption risks.

Following the session, participants discussed the practical applications of the new legal requirements, received clarifications from the speakers on key aspects of law enforcement practice, and exchanged views on the further advancement of the corporate compliance system.

Holding such events fosters a stronger legal culture among executive management, reinforces the principles of integrity and transparency, and supports the continuous development of an effective corruption risk prevention system.
