KTZ granted 70 percent discount on rail transportation of socially significant food products

As part of its socially responsible tariff pricing policy, JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Railways" has decided to apply a reduction coefficient of 0.3 (a 70% discount) to the tariffs for the services of the mainline railway network and the carrier when transporting socially significant food products in domestic communication, as well as wheat to flour mills and bakeries.

The measure applies to more than 30 categories of socially significant food products and is aimed at reducing the transport costs of domestic food producers, as well as curbing food price growth in the domestic market.

Shippers' rail transportation costs are expected to decrease by an average of 40%, which will serve as an additional tool for ensuring price stability and increasing the affordability of rail transport for domestic producers.
