KTZ expands the use of Trip Optimizer and Kinetix

Kazakhstan Temir Zholy has transitioned the Trip Optimizer system from pilot mode into active operation. Today, 425 locomotives are equipped with the system, and more than 4 million kilometers have been covered in automated mode.

Kinetix is an artificial intelligence-driven wagon diagnostics system. It checks the condition of the wagons directly while in motion.

The system has already inspected more than 4.6 million axles and detected over 17.6 thousand defects, including 448 critical ones. Technical inspection time at stations is reduced by 30%, and the volume of manual measurements drops by 70%.

The next stage involves scaling Kinetix across six key directions: Pavlodar, Tobol, Arys, Dostyk, Altynkol, Sekseul, and Shalkar. This will establish a unified digital diagnostic loop for rolling stock on international and transit routes.
