KTZ сontinues modernization of automation systems at Beyneu station and on Shalkar–Beyneu and Kandyagash–Tobol Sections
22-09-2026
At Beyneu station, in Yard "B" (Park B), the integration of seven receiving-and-departure tracks, 32 switches, and 22 signals into the microprocessor-based interlocking system has been completed. The control of switches and signals has been transitioned to an automated system.
On the Shalkar–Beyneu section, the next phase of automatic block signaling construction on a 154-kilometer stretch has been concluded. Six separate stations (passing loops) have been connected to the system, 36 signals have been modernized, and 118 support structures have been installed.
On the 653-km Kandyagash–Tobol section, the railway line is being converted to automatic block signaling. Two bypass tracks have been constructed at Nikeltau and Kandyagash stations, 14 new passing loops have been commissioned, and three have been reconstructed.
Additionally, 43 km of track panels (rail and sleeper grids) have been laid, 116 switches have been installed, and 32 relay-based and 14 microprocessor-based passing loops have been connected to the automatic block signaling. More than 620 km of cable lines have been laid, 1,690 devices have been reconnected, and over 90,000 soldering joints have been completed.
Upon completion of the works, the capacity of the Kandyagash–Tobol section has increased 2.5 times — from 8 to 20 pairs of trains per day.
