KTZ and Uzbekistan Railways organize another 'Keruen Express' tourist train

The route allows tourists to visit key historical and cultural sites in both countries. More than 130 passengers traveled from Almaty on the ‘Keruen Express’ tourist train along the route ‘Almaty - Turkestan - Samarkand - Tashkent – Almaty’. The tour will run from May 1 to 6, 2026.

The tourist train is comprised of modern, comfortable, domestically produced carriages, consisting of four compartment carriages and one dining car.

Over the course of five days, tour participants will have the opportunity to visit major architectural and historical monuments, including the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum, the city of Otyrar in Turkestan, the Amir Timur Mausoleum and Registan Square in Samarkand, the Tole Bi Mausoleum and the Hazrati Imam Memorial Complex in Tashkent and more.

The tour package organized by tour operators includes train travel, a tour program with professional guides, excursions with entrance tickets, and transfers.
 

The launch of the ‘Keruen Express’ tourist train contributes to the development of rail tourism, strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and promoting the region's historical heritage.

This is the second tourist train on this route this year.
