KTZ and CRRC: A Technological Alliance Defining the Future of Eurasian Logistics

As part of the anniversary event of the Organization for Cooperation between Railways in Astana, a working meeting was held between Marat Shakenov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KTZ, and Mr. Feng Zhendong, the management of Qiqihar CRRC. The parties noted that the partnership between the companies has been successfully developing for over 20 years. A new stage of cooperation began in October 2023 in Beijing with the signing of a framework agreement to deepen the strategic partnership.

Marat Shakenov emphasized the high significance of this relationship and expressed confidence in its long-term nature. During the meeting, the parties also discussed the implementation of innovations, including the installation of double-deck container platforms, which will significantly increase the number of containers transported. The development of high-speed freight train services was also discussed. Particular attention was paid to expanding the range of freight rolling stock and conducting joint research and development to improve the reliability of the equipment.

According to the parties, the integration of advanced technologies into Kazakhstan's railway network creates a powerful synergistic effect for the economies of both countries. Strengthening this strategic bridge directly contributes to the growth of trade turnover on the East-West route, enhancing the region's investment attractiveness and cementing Kazakhstan's status as a key logistics hub, ensuring uninterrupted global trade.
