Following the modernization, the share of track sections with semi-automatic block signaling will drop by 55%, from 3,973 km to 1,785 km. This will mark a major milestone in the digital transformation of Kazakhstan's railway industry.
The implementation of the project will significantly enhance train traffic safety, increase infrastructure capacity, and ensure the sustainability of the transportation process.
Work is currently underway on seven network sections simultaneously. In terms of the scale and volume of operations, this project is unprecedented in the entire history of Kazakhstan's railways.
