KMG and KTZ Ensure End-to-End Digital Control of Petroleum Product Logistics in Kazakhstan

NC "KazMunayGas" JSC (KMG) continues to actively develop digital monitoring of petroleum product supply chains. As part of this initiative, the integration of KMG's Dispatch and Analytical Center (DAC) with the systems of "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC (KTZ) has been implemented.

KMG's DAC collects operational data from all company assets, including oil refineries, tracks shipment directions, and calculates the delivery time of petroleum products to railway stations.

At the end of 2025, KMG's DAC systems were integrated with data from KTZ's "Main Computer Center" branch regarding domestic allocation and imports of petroleum products. This has enabled hourly tracking of the movement and volumes of petroleum products across the territory of Kazakhstan, including daily import rail deliveries along the entire route.

Visual monitoring of each tank car's movement has been implemented: the system displays the location of the car starting from loading, as well as the dates and statuses at each stage of transportation (arrival, departure, loading, unloading, etc.).

Automated monitoring of tank car downtime has been introduced. The system records delays at stations, which allows for the rapid identification of problematic logistics bottlenecks. In addition, an analytical rating of Kazakhstan's regions is generated based on their level of petroleum product supply.

Overall, the integration between KMG and KTZ systems marks a significant step forward in logistics digitalization, allowing for real-time monitoring of petroleum product supply chains across Kazakhstan and enabling more precise managerial decision-making.

The project was implemented thanks to effective interaction and coordinated teamwork between the two largest national companies.

It is worth noting that the project was carried out as part of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, as declared by the Head of State.
