JSC NC KTZ has completed the modernization of the Aksu – Zhana-Semey railway infrastructure section

As a result of the completed works, the capacity of the railway line has been increased through the implementation of modern technical solutions.

A digital automatic block system has been constructed on the station-to-station blocks along the 240 km section. Five new passing loops have been built from scratch, and additional receiving and departure tracks have been laid at three existing separation points.

To implement the project, over 400 engineers and signaling and interlocking specialists, as well as 17 specialized railcars, were deployed during "technological windows".

All works were completed ahead of the approved schedules.

The modernization of the section aims to improve infrastructure reliability, increase the railway line's capacity, and ensure the sustainable development of the country's transport corridors.
