17-09-2026
Routine renovations have been completed at the Dostyk station dormitory for employees of the Almaty Trunk-Line Network Branch, a subsidiary of JSC NC KTZ. The dormitory is provided to young specialists and young families working at the station who permanently reside in Dostyk.
The one-story building was constructed in 1995. The dormitory features 11 living rooms, two restrooms, showers, utility rooms, and a common corridor. The renovation work was carried out by Temirzholsu-Almaty LLP.
During the project, the living and utility spaces, along with major utility networks, were upgraded, and all windows and doors were completely replaced.
Dostyk station is located in an area with harsh climatic conditions. Despite this, railway workers ensure the uninterrupted operation of the station and infrastructure on one of the key rail transport routes between Kazakhstan and China.
There are two railway worker dormitories operating at Dostyk station. Renovations for the second dormitory are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
Upgrading the dormitories is part of an ongoing initiative to improve the social and living conditions for the company's young specialists and employees.
