A delegation from Lianyungang City visited the Port of Aktau

The Port of Aktau was visited by a delegation from the People's Republic of China, led by the Mayor of Lianyungang City, Mr. Zhou Jin. The delegation included representatives from the city administration and the management of the Port of Lianyungang.

During the visit, the delegation was provided with information regarding the operations of the Port of Aktau, its main performance indicators, strategic development directions, and ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at boosting Kazakhstan's transit potential.

Special attention was given to the construction project of the container hub at the Port of Aktau. The delegation visited the site and learned about the results of the first phase of the project, as well as the prospects for further development of container shipping in the Caspian direction.

The sides discussed issues of further expanding transport and logistics cooperation and strengthening interaction within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), which today serves as one of the key routes for Eurasian trade.

 

Reference: The container hub project at the Port of Aktau is being implemented on behalf of the Head of State with the equity participation of the Port of Lianyungang—a long-standing strategic partner of NC KTZ JSC. The implementation of this project marks an important milestone in the development of modern transport and logistics infrastructure on the Caspian Sea and contributes to increasing the competitiveness of the TITR.
