Daily earthworks record set at Bakhty–Ayagoz railway line construction

As part of the construction project for the new Bakhty–Ayagoz railway line, a new production record has been set. On July 22, 259,000 cubic meters of embankment were laid in a single day, marking the highest daily volume since the project's inception.

For comparison, the average daily target for July was 206.1 thousand cubic meters, while the actual daily average for the month reached 217.3 thousand cubic meters. Thus, the record-breaking result exceeded the plan by nearly 26% and the actual July average by more than 19%.

The high construction pace is ensured by efficient work organization, a 24/7 production cycle, and the use of modern digital management tools. These tools enable real-time tracking of work volumes, machinery utilization, and adherence to the construction schedule.

To date, the total volume of completed earthworks has exceeded 25 million cubic meters. Over 1,300 specialists and around 900 pieces of equipment are involved in the construction.

The 303-km Bakhty–Ayagoz railway line is one of Kazakhstan's key infrastructure projects. The new main line will enable the opening of a third railway border crossing with China, increase the transport corridor's throughput capacity up to 25 million tons of cargo per year, and mark an important step in developing the country's transit potential.
