Chaired by Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KTZ, an extended conference call was held to discuss the company's performance for 2025 and January 2026, as well as key government and production objectives.
The meeting addressed the holding of the Republican referendum and the readiness of the railway infrastructure for flood control operations.
Marat Shakenov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KTZ, delivered a report on traffic safety and performance indicators. The speaker noted that in the 12 months of 2025, traffic safety violations overall decreased by 10% among all transportation participants. Specifically for JSC NC KTZ, the number of violations decreased by 8%, and the target safety indicator improved by 17%, reaching 0.60 versus the planned 0.72. To achieve these results, the audit team conducted over 9,000 inspections in 2025, identifying 98,000 violations and issuing over 10,000 prohibitive measures. Efforts to ensure strict oversight continued in January 2026, with over 800 inspections conducted.
Systemic improvements in performance were made possible through the implementation of the Roadmap for Developing a Culture of Operational Traffic Safety, the Systematic Measures Package for 2025, and the Interdepartmental Roadmap for Safety and Property Security for 2025-2027. Employee motivation remains an important element of the strategy: by the end of 2025, 615 company employees were awarded incentives for their personal contributions to preventing violations and ensuring traffic safety. The speaker also emphasized that the company is working to ensure train safety and to complete the required major and routine repairs of infrastructure facilities and rolling stock.
Chief Engineer Ramazan Sadyrkulov presented a report on the status of occupational health and safety. Based on the results of 2025, the JSC NC KTZ group of companies noted a positive trend in the reduction of industrial injuries: the total number of incidents decreased by 26%, and production-related cases by 19%.
