Best wagon depot

Based on the results of its production activities for 2025, the Mangystau operational wagon depot was recognized as the "Best Wagon Depot" ("Uzdik vagon deposy"). The collective was awarded a challenge industry banner.

The depot ensures the technical maintenance of wagons and traffic safety on the key routes of the western region.

The collective consists of 357 wagon inspectors-repairers and 21 rolling stock repair mechanics. The depot's structure includes 9 technical maintenance points and 4 current uncoupling repair points. They are located at key stations within the Mangystau region.

The depot also ensures operations at three interstate border junction points: Bolashak on the border with Turkmenistan, Karakalpakstan on the border with Uzbekistan, and Kuryk Port, which provides ferry links with Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Special attention is paid to safety. In 2025–2026, the depot allowed no traffic safety violations or occupational injuries. No violations of occupational health and industrial safety requirements were recorded either.

The history of the enterprise began in 1966 with a single office car. Today, it is one of the key enterprises of the wagon economy in the western region.

The professional achievements of the collective have been recognized at the national level. The depot holds the "Senim" certificate in the field of labor safety and is a prize-winner of the III and IV Republican seminars-trainings of professional excellence.
