"Best Signaling and Communications Distance": Kostanay Distance Ensures Reliable Railway Operations

The Kostanay Signaling and Communications Distance, a branch of the Kostanay Trunk-Line Network Division of JSC NC KTZ, has been recognized as one of the company's top-performing enterprises of the year. The team emerged as the winner in the category "Best Signaling and Communications Distance".

The distance employs 220 specialists who maintain signaling and communication devices across the Kostanay–Zhanaesil, Kostanay–Tobol, and Kostanay–Zolotaya Sopka sections. Train traffic safety and the stability of the transportation process directly depend on their work.

Over the past three years, yard public address systems have been installed at the Karatomary, Shok-Karagay, and Voronenskaya stations. This has accelerated information transmission and enhanced operational efficiency. In addition, new diesel generators were installed at eight more stations, and outdated equipment was replaced at two stations. These measures have increased the reliability of the power supply for signaling and communication devices.

One of the team's key achievements was avoiding any damage to cable communication lines during the capital track repairs on the Kostanay–Bosagash section. The project lasted three years and was carried out on active railway infrastructure.

Today, the distance specialists continue to maintain and upgrade equipment, ensuring the reliable operation of signaling and communication systems across the region's railway sections.
