The Atyrau branch of "Paramilitary Railway Security" LLC (VZhDO) has been recognized as the best operational unit within the JSC NC KTZ system based on the results of 2025.

The team services the Atyrau and Mangistau divisions of the mainline network, covering a total length of 2,163 kilometers. The branch's area of responsibility includes five international border junction points: Aktasrayksaya-2 station (on the border with the Russian Federation), Karakalpakstan (on the border with the Republic of Uzbekistan), and points on the border with Turkmenistan, including Bolashak.

In addition, the specialists ensure the security of trains arriving from the Aktau International Sea Commercial Port at the Port Aktau station and via the Kuryk port.

The service areas host 8 security teams (at Sagiz, Makat, Atyrau, Ganyushkino, Beyneu, Mangistau, Port Aktau, and Port Kuryk stations) and 3 security groups (at Kulsary, Saiotes, and Uzen stations).

On average, the branch takes 104 trains (over 3,180 cars) under its protection every 24 hours. Thanks to the staff's professionalism, not a single case of cargo loss, shortage, theft attempt, or occupational injury has been recorded at the secured facilities over the past two years. Along with this, the branch protects strategic assets, including bridges over the Ural and Sokolok rivers, which play a crucial role in domestic and transit transportation.

The main tasks of the branch are ensuring the safety of the transportation process, preventing theft, and strengthening cooperation with state authorities. Special attention is paid to personnel training, improving working conditions and occupational health to achieve zero injuries, as well as providing material and technical support for employees and fostering unity within the team.
