ALT university students complete geodetic practice at KTZ facilities
09-10-2026
A total of 44 students from ALT University have completed their geodetic practice, organized jointly with the Mainline Network Directorate. The program is running for its second year, enabling future specialists to gain practical experience directly at railway infrastructure facilities.
The students not only mastered professional skills but also familiarized themselves with the operations of line divisions, industrial safety requirements, and the specifics of railway track maintenance.
In 2025, following their geodetic practice, 10 students were successfully employed in the line divisions of the Mainline Network Directorate.
Collaboration between the Directorate and ALT University is also developing within the framework of dual education. At the beginning of 2026, 36 students were hired by the Directorate's line enterprises to work in track facilities. Since October, an additional recruitment drive has been underway for 64 third- and fourth-year students.
The dual education program is expanding: along with track facilities, it now covers the fields of power supply, signaling, and communications.
Students will combine their university studies with practical work in their chosen specialty. Each participant will be assigned an experienced mentor to help them master production processes, safety requirements, and operational specifics.
Joint educational projects strengthen the link between theoretical training and production, promote the professional development of students, and contribute to building a talent pool for the Mainline Network Directorate.
