In Almaty, the national carrier's trains have transported more than 992,000 passengers

During the summer travel season, Almaty remains one of the country’s key railway hubs, receiving and dispatching dozens of passenger trains daily. The high demand for this route is confirmed by passenger traffic—since the beginning of 2026, the National Carrier’s trains bound for Almaty have carried more than 992,000 passengers.

To meet this demand, the national carrier operates 26 train pairs running to Almaty. These include 13 standard trains, 11 Talgo trains, and 2 commuter routes.

For passengers’ convenience, a “Waiting List” service is available, which allows passengers to purchase tickets for newly available seats via an electronic queue. This service can be accessed on the website bilet.railways.kz and at railway ticket offices.
