The Almaty Bypass Line Project Receives International Recognition and an IFC Award

The management of JSC NC KTZ met with Lisa Kaestner, the new Regional Director of the World Bank's International Finance Corporation (IFC). The key outcome was the presentation of a prestigious award to the financial unit of JSC NC KTZ for the successful closing of the deal to finance the construction of the Almaty bypass line.

This project is historic for Kazakhstan: for the first time, IFC and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) have invested capital in the country's railway industry. Furthermore, the participation of such giants as Standard Chartered and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) confirms JSC NC KTZ's compliance with the most stringent global standards, from financial transparency to environmental responsibility. The company's team was recognized for its outstanding professionalism in structuring this complex, multifaceted transaction.
