Akmola branch of JSC Kaztemirtrans ready for Grain transportation during harvest season

The Akmola branch of JSC Kaztemirtrans prepares annually for the seasonal increase in grain transportation volume during the harvest campaign. The branch's primary objective is to provide shippers with railcars in a timely manner and maintain a stable transportation process.

Since the beginning of 2026, the branch has ensured the shipment of 6,434 boxcars, which is 1,583 cars more than during the same period in 2025. The total boxcar fleet of JSC Kaztemirtrans consists of 6,246 units, with approximately 500 of them deployed within the Akmola branch's area of responsibility. The fleet is fully prepared for the increased seasonal demand.

"We monitor the demand, availability, and movement of railcars on a daily basis. If volumes increase, we are prepared to arrange additional positioning and prompt redistribution of rolling stock. Our main task is the timely supply of cars and the stable export of grain," noted Samat Zharakhmetov, Director of the Akmola branch of JSC Kaztemirtrans.

Operations are conducted in cooperation with the Akmola Freight Transportation Branch, the Northern Regional Traffic Control Center, grain elevators, and shippers. Special attention is being paid to reducing idle times and accelerating loading and unloading operations.

In the branch's Service Office, clients can receive consultations and assistance with digital services. Submitting and tracking requests, as well as obtaining info on railcars and shipments, are all available in electronic format.
