In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2025, JSC NC KTZ began implementing a large-scale program to reconstruct and modernize railway stations across the country. One of the key projects under this program is the Almaty-1 railway station.

As part of implementing instructions to improve passenger service quality and modernize railway infrastructure, today, Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management  Board of JSC NC KTZ, visited the Almaty-1 railway station, where repair and modernization work is currently underway.

During the visit, the Chairman of the Management Board inspected the current condition of the facility, assessed the progress of work, and the readiness of key elements of the station infrastructure.

Following the inspection, Talgat Aldybergenov noted poor work organization on the part of contractors responsible for repair and construction work. He emphasized that the current pace and quality of work do not meet established requirements and deadlines.

Due to the identified deficiencies, the Chairman of the Management  Board ordered the intensification and acceleration of work at Almaty-1 Station, the mobilization of additional contractor resources, strict monitoring of deadlines and quality standards, and the implementation of the project under special supervision.

Particular attention was paid to safety at the construction site, coordination of contractors, and minimizing inconvenience to passengers during the work.

The reconstruction of Almaty-1 Station includes the renovation of passenger areas, modernization of utility systems, increased energy efficiency, the introduction of modern navigation equipment, and improved accessibility for people with disabilities.

The project aims to improve service levels, create a comfortable and safe environment for passengers, and develop the transport infrastructure of the city and the country as a whole.
