01-10-2026
The student hackathon "KTZ – ALT INNOVATION" has kicked off in Almaty at the ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev. The event is being held as part of the VII Eurasian Forum on Transport Safety and Digitalization.
A total of 43 teams—comprising 175 students from Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Shymkent, and Aktau—have registered to participate. Among them are future specialists in the railway industry, IT, automation, and data analysis.
Over the course of 24 hours, the teams will work on real KTZ case studies. Their task is to propose a digital solution, develop a prototype, and present it to the jury.
The hackathon will bring together students and KTZ experts in a single space, allowing participants to directly tackle industry challenges, receive guidance from mentors, and test their ideas in practice.
"KTZ – ALT INNOVATION" is focused not only on finding innovations but also on building the company's talent pipeline. The best team projects could serve as a foundation for the further development of digital projects in the railway industry.
The organizers view the hackathon as a platform where students are given the opportunity not just to study technologies, but to apply them to solve specific problems in railway transport.
