A three-day operational safety competition, "Best Practices in Train Safety," hosted by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Railways JSC, concluded in the capital. Twelve teams from across the country participated in the event. Each team presented a project aimed at improving train safety.
For the first time, the competition results were announced without a traditional jury: each team evaluated its colleagues' projects, and the winners were selected collectively.
Projects were evaluated based on the relevance of the problem, originality of the solution, cost-effectiveness, measurable results, and potential for replication. Among the initiatives presented were modernization of control panels, implementation of braking training methods, systems for preventing collisions with stray livestock, improvement of locomotive signaling, and increasing station capacity.
The team from the Mangystau region took first place, the Aktobe region took second, and the Akmola region took third.
The competition served as a platform for exchanging experiences, showcasing achievements, and implementing innovative solutions in rail safety. Safety culture is one of the Company's key priorities, and the professionalism and responsibility of its employees are the foundation of reliable transportation.
A quiz competition was held to determine the most responsive, knowledgeable, and creative team in the Shymkent region.
The winners received cash certificates.
Each participant received a certificate of participation, and active participants received individual tracks for further training in the mini-MBA program.
