Traffic safety control on access roads has been strengthened

09-07-2025

JSC CTS is implementing comprehensive work to improve traffic safety on access roads. A Unified Access Road Database has been created, classified by importance and intensity of use. It includes 625 access roads, including active, strategic, dismantled and partially dismantled ones. 65 artificial structures (bridges, pipes, etc.) have been accepted and inspected. Additionally, two guarded railway crossings have been opened in areas with high traffic loads.

A spring inspection of all access roads and turnouts has been conducted. Compared to the autumn inspection of 2024, the number of identified gross deviations has decreased by 13%. Based on the inspection results, plans have been drawn up to eliminate bottlenecks and improve reliability.

A knowledge test of technical safety regulations has been conducted among heads of production sites, engineers and road foremen. An action plan to improve the qualifications of employees has been approved. All department heads and road foremen participate in monthly commission inspections of tracks and turnouts.

In 2025, repair work is planned for 31.2 km of access roads with replacement of sleepers and rails, of which 7.1 km have been repaired. In addition, it is planned to conduct flaw detection of rails and turnouts (32.9 km). It is also planned to inspect about 10 artificial structures by a specialized organization, and purchase 466 road signs for railway crossings.

Large-scale certification is underway: by the end of 2025, 188 technical passports for access roads will be issued and state technical inspection of 470 real estate objects will be carried out.

It is also planned to purchase the main materials of the track superstructure, including wooden sleepers, transfer beams, bolts, gaskets, frogs, repair kits, etc.

JSC "CTS" gives priority to the integrated management system. In 2024, the company successfully passed the certification audit of TÜV Rheinland Kazakhstan and received international certificates of compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards. In June 2025, compliance with the standards was confirmed during an inspection audit.

JSC "CTS" aims to strictly comply with all requirements for ensuring traffic safety and improving the efficiency of operational activities.
