The second tracks of the Dostyk – Moiynty section are in operation.

On September 30, 2025, service was launched on the second tracks of the Dostyk – Moiynty section. Trains are currently operating normally; as of October 6, 206 freight trains had been carried, including 101 freight trains on the new second tracks (an average of 20 trains per day on each track).

The phased testing of the track is a mandatory technological process and depends on the volume of cargo transported.

Train service was launched this year in stages, on the following sections:

Moiynty – Balkhash-1 — since January 29,
Beskol – rzd. 19 — since March 13,
Aktogay-Vostochny-Beskol — since June 19,
Balkhash-2-Sayak — since July 4,
Sayak-Aktogay — since September 30.

Since the launch of service using the second tracks, 12.6 million tons of freight have been transported, increasing freight turnover by 42% compared to 2022 levels, that is, before construction of the second tracks began.

The track is currently being stabilized in accordance with regulatory technology, which should be achieved after 100,000 tons of freight have been handled. Until these operations are completed, trains will operate at the designated speed, ensuring safe train operation.

Finishing work is underway at the facility in accordance with the approved schedule and design documentation.

In addition, to ensure an objective assessment of the situation at the polling stations, NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC invites all interested media representatives to a press tour of the Moiynty-Dostyk polling station.
