Support for domestic production, long-term contracts and artificial intelligence in procurement

A meeting with journalists was held on the Burabay Express electric train, dedicated to the procurement activities of NC KTZ JSC. Managing Director for New Projects Ilya  Meshcheryakov emphasized that today KTZ procurement is not only providing the company with the necessary goods, works and services, but also a tool for the development of the economy of Kazakhstan.

KTZ focuses on the development of Kazakhstani content and import substitution. In 2025, the company has already concluded over 1,400 contracts with domestic companies and 17 off-take contracts worth more than 87 billion tenge. In total, over the past five years, off-take contracts have been signed for 250 billion tenge, which made it possible to launch new production facilities and create jobs in the regions.

"We consider procurement as a mechanism to support domestic producers. It is important for us that Kazakhstani enterprises participate in procurement and that the funds remain in the country's economy," said Ilya Meshcheryakov.
 

A modern category approach to procurement has already saved 48 billion tenge.

KTZ is actively introducing artificial intelligence, which analyzes technical specifications and checks their compliance with regulatory documents. This eliminates corruption risks, speeds up tender procedures, and increases the transparency of procurement.

Artificial intelligence is becoming part of KTZ's daily work, helping the company to be more efficient.

In 2025, the company updates its strategy in the field of medical services, introduces digitalization of medical examinations, KPIs for suppliers, and a system of long-term contracts. This will create more stable working conditions for Kazakhstani manufacturers and raise social standards for the company's employees.

KTZ's procurement policy is not only about saving money, but also contributing to the development of domestic production, creating new jobs, and introducing future technologies.
