Single course: KTZ and Rail Cargo Austria strengthen transit axis

A meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Austria, led by Mr. Haubner, Second President of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament, was held at NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.

The parties discussed the development prospects of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), logistics cooperation, and strengthening the partnership between the railway companies of Kazakhstan and Austria. The meeting also included presentations from leading Austrian companies interested in transport and infrastructure projects in the region.

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between KTZ Express, a subsidiary of KTZ, and Rail Cargo Austria (part of ÖBB Holding AG). The document aims to develop cooperation in intermodal transportation along the TITR, share the terminal infrastructure of ÖBB-Holding AG in Central and Eastern Europe, and explore prospects for joint terminal capacity development, including potential projects to build new terminals in the region.

The dialogue marked an important step in strengthening economic ties and expanding the capabilities of the transit corridor between Europe and Asia.
