Shaanxi Province to invest 2.5 billion yuan in transit development

On February 22, 2025 Shaanxi Province Governor Zhao Gang received the head of NC KTZ JSC Nurlan Sauranbayev.

The parties noted the successful implementation of joint logistics projects. Thus, this year, the launch of three joint projects is planned - a logistics complex in Almaty (GTS-2), a new logistics center CRK Terminal at Selyatino station in the Moscow region and a terminal in the port of Alyat in Azerbaijan.

The leaders discussed new opportunities for increasing cargo traffic and developing transport corridors. Thus, in 2025, Shaanxi Province will invest 2.5 billion yuan in the development of China-Europe container trains. In 2025, it is planned to send 3,000 container trains in transit through Kazakhstan.

In addition, other significant events of the current year were considered. In support of the Year of China Tourism in Kazakhstan, the first passenger tourist train will be launched on the Xi'an-Almaty route. Preparations for the ceremony of sending the anniversary container train in the China-Europe direction along the TITR route and the participation of the Kazakh side in major international transport and logistics forums in Xi'an were discussed.

The parties confirmed their readiness for further cooperation and development of new joint projects in the field of logistics and transport.
