Railwaymen of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan agreed to develop transit capabilities of the two countries

The management of NC KTZ JSC held a meeting with a delegation from Tajikistan led by the Director of the Agency for State Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Nurmahmad Akhmadzoda with the participation of the head of the State Unitary Enterprise Rohi Ohani Tojikiston Komil Mirzoali.

The parties discussed the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of railway transport. The possibilities of increasing the volume of freight traffic between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, as well as the development of infrastructure projects aimed at improving the efficiency of transport corridors were considered.

An increase in the volume of freight traffic involving the railways of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan was noted. About 1.4 million tons were transported in January-March 2025, which is 6.8% more than in the same period last year.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further fruitful cooperation. The management of NC KTZ JSC and SUE Rohi Ohani Tojikiston confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening partnership relations and implementing joint projects aimed at developing railway communication between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
