Railway workers step up preventive work to prevent accidents on the railway

KTZ regularly holds information and educational events with the population. Lectures, talks and video screenings on the topic "The railway is a high-risk zone!" are organized in educational institutions and schools. In January-February 2025, 257 meetings were held at stations and in schools dedicated to the rules for safe crossing of railway tracks. More than 14 thousand people took part in them.

In addition, joint raids are carried out monthly with LOVD officers in places of unauthorized crossing of railway tracks. Since the beginning of the year, 78 raids have already been carried out, during which 6 administrative fines were imposed.

An analysis of incidents shows that all cases of hitting people are associated with personal carelessness. The main reasons are crossing railway tracks in unauthorized places, inattention and alcohol intoxication.

Recently, cases of train surfing have become more frequent - when teenagers try to ride on the steps of freight and passenger cars. This is an extremely dangerous activity that can lead to serious injuries.

KTZ calls on citizens to strictly observe safety rules on the railway.
