Railway infrastructure improvements completed on the Arys-1 – Arys-2 bypass route

A comprehensive restoration and modernization project has been completed on the bypass route connecting Arys-2 station and the "D" yard of Arys-1 station. The project included the installation of five sets of traffic lights, the installation of five sets of track circuits, the implementation of automatic block control on the three-kilometer section between Arys-1 and Arys-2, and the renovation of 2.6 kilometers of track. Additionally, two sets of turnouts were installed, and the electrification of the bypass route and the "D" yard tracks, totaling 7.4 kilometers, was completed.

The project will significantly improve the efficiency of the railway junction. The capacity of Arys-1 station will increase from 88 to 100 pairs of trains per day, and the handling capacity of the even-numbered marshalling yard will increase by 46%—from 1,836 to 2,688 cars per day. The arrival of dismantling trains from Shymkent directly to the "D" receiving yard will reduce unscheduled stops and reduce train delays at Arys station's route signals, which previously occurred due to the occupied tracks of the "A" yard.
