Railway grain transportation from the Kostanay region increased by 20%

A visiting meeting of the grain headquarters of NC KTZ JSC  was held in Kostanay, dedicated to the organization of grain transportation of the new harvest for export and within the country. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, JSC Astyk Trans, akimats, veterinary and phytosanitary services, the transport prosecutor's office, the State Revenue Committee, as well as exporters and grain companies took part in the work of the headquarters.

According to the results of the marketing year (May 2024 - September 2025), 3.2 million tons of grain were loaded from the Kostanay region, which is 20% more than the previous period. Export transportation increased by 24% and amounted to 2.4 million tons. Significant growth was also noted for compound feed: the volume of transportation increased by 96% and reached 1.3 million tons, of which 1.2 million tons were exported.

The meeting participants discussed issues of providing rolling stock, expedited document processing, compliance with veterinary and phytosanitary requirements. Special attention was paid to interaction with elevators for uninterrupted logistics.

Shippers were recommended to take joint measures aimed at timely delivery of grain, reducing wagon downtime and ensuring stable supplies both to the domestic market and abroad.
