Rail freight transportation increased by 4% in 8 months of this year

In January-August 2025, 204 million tons of cargo were transported through the network of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, which is 4% more than in the same period last year. Including domestic transportation reached 114 million tons (+2%), export - 56.1 million tons (+8%), in transit 19.6 million tons (+10%). 

The growth of indicators is ensured by key nomenclatures. 67.7 million tons of coal were transported, which is 4% higher than in the same period last year. Exports amounted to 21.3 million tons (+12%), transportation of solid fuels in Kazakhstan - 44.6 million tons (+1%). Grain transportation increased by 17% and reached 9.1 million tons, including exports of 6.1 million tons (+52%), and domestic traffic of 1.7 million tons (+47%).

Transportation of oil cargo amounted to 18.3 million tons (+8.6%), construction cargo - 14.3 million tons (+4%), chemicals - 9.2 million tons (+9%), chemical fertilizers - 5.1 million tons (+16%), ferrous metals - 10.3 million tons (+9%).

NC KTZ JSC continues to ensure stable cargo transportation, promptly fulfilling domestic and export orders of shippers.
