Rail freight transportation has increased in the first two months of this year

In the first two months of 2025, 42.4 million tons of freight were transported via the KTZ network, which is 6.6% more than in the same period last year. The volume of loading within the republic in January-February increased by 2% and amounted to 26.8 million tons. More than 15.6 million tons of freight were exported by rail, which is 16% more than a year earlier.

Among the key freight flows, an increase in coal transportation was noted - by 4.7%, to 18.2 million tons, of which 13 million tons were sent to the domestic market. Grain transportation increased by 42.5%, to more than 2.4 million tons. Grain exports increased by 44.5% and reached 1.9 million tons.

According to the results of two months of 2025, the loading of oil cargo increased by 3%, to 3.2 million tons, ferrous metals by 14.3%, to 700 thousand tons, chemical fertilizers by 16.5%, to 816 thousand tons, iron ore and manganese by 4%, to 3.2 million tons and construction cargo by 7.9%, to 1.6 million tons.

KTZ continues to work on improving the efficiency of freight transportation, providing reliable logistics for both the domestic market and export deliveries.
