A pilot batch of vegetable oil from Kazakhstan was delivered to China in 40-foot containers

On September 2, 2025, a pilot shipment of Kazakh vegetable oil was shipped from the East Kazakhstan Region in 40-foot flexitank containers. The cargo arrived in Jiangsu Province, covering a distance of 4,700 km in 12 days. The delivery confirmed the efficiency of logistics and the readiness of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC for regular deliveries to China.

The project is strategic in nature: it aims to develop the Chinese market and container shipping, which aligns with the objectives set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The pilot shipment opens new opportunities for domestic producers and contributes to strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. During negotiations with representatives of Urumqi Railways held on September 10–11 at Khorgos station, the parties confirmed their intention to scale up the project by organizing regular deliveries of oil in 20- and 40-foot containers under strict loading conditions.

Thus, the project forms a solid foundation for long-term cooperation and the further expansion of Kazakhstan's export potential.
