Over 65,000 cubic meters of snow have been cleared from railway tracks

To ensure uninterrupted and safe train service, scheduled snow removal operations continue on the KTZ NC JSC network.

Over the course of 21 days in December, SDPM-type snowplows made 96 trips, clearing 4,618.2 km of track. SM-2 snowplows made 447 trips, removing 65,545 cubic meters of snow.

Track crews were deployed to clear station tracks and switches in areas where equipment is not permitted. Over 12,000 workers are involved daily during the daytime, and over 13,600 at night.

Snow removal operations are carried out around the clock and are aimed at maintaining the infrastructure in good condition and ensuring the safety of train operations.
