Over 60 km of railway will undergo major repairs in Akmola region

In 2025, more than 110 km of railway track will be renewed within the boundaries of the Akmola branch of the KTZ main network. Of these, 62 km will be overhauled.

During the major repairs on the Zhanayesil 1 - Tselinnaya, Karagay - Vasilkovka, Zhaksy - Kazakhskaya sections, the old track will be dismantled and a new rail and sleeper grid will be laid.

In addition to major works, this year, Akmola railway workers will replace rail supports on 34 km, replace 99 sets of turnouts on a reinforced concrete foundation. They will also perform enhanced medium and medium repairs (14 km) on Baumanskaya-Presnogorkovskaya, Saumalkol-Ugolki, etc.

During track repair work, railway workers use high-performance heavy-duty machines (РМ, Duomatic, РШП-Атлас, Unimat, etc.).

In total, 1,480 km of railway will be repaired in Kazakhstan in 2025. In 2024, 1,407 km will be modernized, of which 570 km are covered by major repairs.
