Over 240 thousand reinforced concrete sleepers laid in the Zhambyl branch of KTZ in five years

In the Zhambyl branch of the main network of JSC NC KTZ, the modernization of the track infrastructure is actively underway to ensure the stable operation of the entire complex of railway enterprises. One of the key areas of the Zhambyl track workers is the replacement of the wooden base of the railway tracks with reinforced concrete.

Over the past five years, during the overhaul of 192.64 km of the track of the branch, 242,556 new reinforced concrete sleepers were laid.

In 2025, Zhambyl railway workers will overhaul over 52 km of track. They will also carry out a continuous replacement of rail supports on new materials of the track superstructure at 13.4 km. The work will be carried out by the Akadyr mechanized track section using the SMD-80 machine.

The equipment of the Shu mechanized track section of JSC NC KTZ, which has 61 special vehicles in its fleet, is also used for major, medium and current repairs of the main line.

The employees of the Zhambyl branch of the main line will also continue to work on the restoration of the Berlik-2 station. Here they will lay 29 thousand cubic meters of track aggregate and 32 new sets of switches on a reinforced concrete foundation.
