Over 160 km of railway will be repaired in the Karaganda region

In 2025, the Karaganda branch of the main network plans to rehabilitate 161 km of railway.

Intensive medium repairs with replacement of the rail and sleeper grid will cover 34.2 km of the track on the Burkitty - Karagayly section, Ashchisu station, Saumalkol and others. Medium repairs in the amount of 52.5 km will be carried out by railway workers on the sections from Atasu station to Karazhal station and from Ashchisu station to Saumalkol.

On several sections with a total length of 42.4 km, it is planned to clean the ballast. Also, railway workers will replace rail supports with new ones at 32.3 km, replace 67 new and 47 old turnouts. Using self-propelled rail welding machines and aluminothermic welding, defective areas will be eliminated and the integrity of rail strings will be restored.

Repair work will ensure the reliability and safety of the transportation process and increase the speed of trains.
