Over 1.5 million tons of grain transported

In October of this year, 1,539,000 tons of grain were transported through the network of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, an increase of 26% compared to the same period last year.
Domestic shipments increased by 38% to 356,000 tons.
Grain exports increased by 23%, reaching 1,200,000 tons.
The largest increase was recorded in the direction of Central Asia—over 760,000 tons (+25%). Shipments to Russian ports and the Baltic states doubled, while exports to Afghanistan grew by 63%. Over the two months of September and October, 2.8 million tons of grain were transported by rail, a 27% increase compared to the previous year.
Domestic shipments increased by 52%, while export shipments exceeded 2.2 million tons, up 21%. Growth to Central Asian countries increased by 33%, while shipments to ports and the Baltic states tripled.
For the first ten months of 2025, the total volume of grain shipments amounted to 11.2 million tons, a 38% increase compared to the previous year. Of this, 8.45 million tons were exported (up 39%), while domestic shipments increased by 34%.
NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC has sufficient railcars and locomotives to ensure uninterrupted transportation of this socially important cargo.
A dedicated KTZ headquarters, in collaboration with exporters, railcar owners, government representatives, and industry associations, coordinates the transportation process. Mobile teams are deployed in grain-producing regions to ensure prompt communication and timely resolution of any issues that arise.
KTZ has all the necessary resources to transport the declared grain volumes.
