Over 1,200 trains traveled on the second tracks of the Dostyk-Moiynty railway

On September 30, 2025, service commenced on the second track of the Dostyk-Moiynty section. As of November 20, train traffic was operating normally: 1,046 freight and 288 container trains (an average of 20 per day) had traveled on the new tracks; 1,074 freight and 335 container trains (an average of 21 per day) had traveled on the old tracks. Since the launch of the second track, 16.1 million tons of freight have been transported, a 41% increase compared to the same period in 2022.

Service was launched in stages, section by section, from January to September 2025. The project has increased the line's capacity and improved freight transportation efficiency.
