Over 100 million tons of cargo have been transported by rail since the beginning of the year

According to the results of January-May 2025, the volume of cargo transportation on the KTZ network amounted to 107 million tons, which is 4.4% higher than the same period last year.

Of the total volume, 68.7 million tons were transported within the country. The volume of export transportation amounted to 38 million tons, which is 11.4% more than in January-May 2024.

Over the five months of 2025, 41.6 million tons of coal were transported, which is 2.4% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, 29.3 million tons were sent to the domestic market, exports grew by 18.9%, reaching 12.2 million tons.

Grain transportation showed significant growth — the volume amounted to 5.7 million tons, which is 54% higher than last year. Export deliveries increased by 62% and reached 4.5 million tons.

There is also growth in other items: oil cargo — by 6.4% (8.3 million tons), ferrous metals — by 11.9% (2 million tons), chemical fertilizers — by 22.3% (2 million tons), construction materials — by 8.5% (6 million tons).
