New Silk Way: KTZ Strengthens Strategic Leadership in Eurasian Transit

The 7th International Transport and Logistics Business Forum "New Silk Way"—one of the key events of Kazakhstan Transport Week—was officially opened in Almaty. The forum began with a welcome address from President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, broadcast live from Akorda. The head of state emphasized Kazakhstan's special role as a bridge between East and West and noted the importance of international cooperation for the further development of global logistics links.

During the teleconference, Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC , reported to the head of state on the implementation of the large-scale project to build a second track on the Dostyk-Moiynty section, a key infrastructure project that increases the capacity of the Trans-Caspian route and strengthens Kazakhstan's transit role in Eurasia.

As part of the forum, Talgat Aldybergenov also held a series of strategic meetings with representatives of international transport, investment, and logistics organizations.

The forum brought together over 500 participants from 30 countries—representatives of government agencies, international organizations, and the private sector. The agenda included the development of transport corridors, digitalization, logistics transformation, and the implementation of joint infrastructure projects within the Belt and Road Initiative.

The "New Silk Way" platform clearly demonstrates Kazakhstan's strategic focus on strengthening its position in global logistics and developing new Eurasian routes of the future.
