National Carrier will provide an additional 53,000 seats for passengers during the New Year holidays

JSC Passenger Transportation and Stadler Kazakhstan LLC unveiled the first images of the new compartment carriage. The new rolling stock was designed to meet Kazakhstan's climatic conditions, long-distance routes, and modern standards.

The new carriages can accommodate 58 passengers and are equipped with modern amenities. Luggage racks are located at the entrance, and the conductor has a separate seating area, a kitchen, and a control panel.

 

The upper berths feature a convenient staircase, which further divides the space for passengers in the lower berths. The third berth in the car is a sturdy luggage rack.

Each passenger seat is equipped with an individual lamp, a 220V power outlet, and USB and USB-C ports. The storage space under the seats is increased, accommodating two large bags. The central table can support up to 200 kg.

The carriage is equipped with two restrooms, child seats, changing tables, a video surveillance system, and Wi-Fi.
Incidentally, the first batch of Stadler carriages will be launched next year on four routes:

• No. 3/4 "Astana - Almaty"
• No. 353/354 "Astana - Semey"
• No. 85/86 "Astana - Shymkent"
• No. 47/48 "Astana - Atyrau."
   

The first domestically produced carriages will be delivered to JSC Passenger Transportation by the end of the year. Stadler will also provide 20-year maintenance services for the rolling stock. The total order calls for the production of 557 carriages by 2030.
