National carrier launches new electric train “Burabay Express” on Astana-Borovoye route

JSC "Passenger Transportation" presents to passengers the new generation electric train "Burabay Express" No. 888/887 on the Astana-Borovoe Resort route. The new electric train was manufactured at a domestic plant in Petropavlovsk and meets all international standards, combining multi-level service, high-speed movement with digital solutions.

In the "Burabay Express", passengers will soon be provided with access to high-speed Internet and on-board meals. The new comprehensive service will allow cashless payment online or by card for travel and meals during the entire journey.

This will allow passengers to stay in touch, watch movies, work, communicate with family and friends throughout the journey.

The trip from the capital to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kazakhstan will take only 2.5 hours. The national carrier provides passengers with boarding from two stations in the capital and a convenient schedule for picking up and dropping off at hotels in the resort area.

"Burabay Express" will run five times a week. Tickets for this route can be purchased for the first time by customers 45 days before the train departure. The fare is: 5,805 tenge in first class, 3,586 tenge in second class and 2,962 tenge in third class.

The electric train from Astana departs in the morning at 11:00 and arrives in Borovoe at 13:35, and departs back from the Borovoe resort at 14:15 on this day and arrives in the capital at 17:00.

The suburban electric train includes 6 carriages with air conditioning, comfortable three classes of service and designed for 374 seats.

First class passengers are offered increased comfort seats with adjustable backs and individual tables, a rack for luggage. Monitors are equipped to display information and entertainment content, multimedia Wi-Fi equipment is installed. Each seat is equipped with USB ports for gadgets and mobile devices. The carriage is equipped with a video surveillance system to ensure safety during the trip. For the first time, passengers are offered on-board meals.

The second class combines affordable prices and a high level of service, Wi-Fi multimedia equipment, video surveillance, mobile phone charging points, and a compartment-buffet selling various drinks and a varied menu.

The third class carriage has seats with comfortable chairs with built-in USB/Type-C sockets with a fast charging function. There is an accessible place for parking bicycles in the vestibule area. "Burabay Express" is designed taking into account the principles of inclusiveness, convenience and comfort. The third class of the new electric train is equipped with platform lifts on both sides and a special sanitary area providing convenience and accessibility for passengers with special needs.

All carriages have automatic retractable steps, facilitating boarding and disembarking at stations with a low platform, which is especially convenient for the elderly and passengers with children. Bio-toilets are also installed, including extended cabins for passengers with special needs.

The exterior of the train is designed in the corporate style of the National Carrier. Ergonomic chairs with multi-position adjustment are provided for locomotive crews, ensuring safe working conditions.

Passengers of the Burabay Express planning to check into the Rixos Borovoe hotel are provided with a free transfer from the railway station directly to the hotel. The transport will wait for arriving passengers at the exit to the station, which will allow them to comfortably get to their vacation spot without transfers. This service is especially relevant for tourists with children, large luggage or those traveling for the first time. The transfer will save time and make the journey to vacation even more enjoyable and accessible.

The launch of the new Burabay Express train is another step in the development of suburban transportation, aimed at improving the quality of service, introducing innovations and ensuring the availability of transport services for all citizens.

Renewal of the wagon fleet is the primary strategic task of the National Carrier.
