National Carrier to Launch New Season of Jibek Joly 5.0 Tourist Train

A new season of the Jibek Joly 5.0 tourist train, organized by JSC Passenger Transportation, will start on September 19. In 6 days, passengers will travel along the route Almaty - Turkestan - Otrar - Samarkand - Bukhara - Tashkent - Almaty and will be able to see the iconic historical and cultural sites of the Great Silk Road.

It should be noted that the launch of another tourist train has become traditional for the National Carrier. The current train is the fifth Jibek Joly tourist train running between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Over the past seasons, more than 1,000 tourists have taken part in this tour.

The tourist train consists of modern comfortable carriages of domestic production, the interior of which is decorated in the national style with elements of traditional ornament. The Jibek Joly tourist train consists of 5 carriages (4 compartment carriages and 1 restaurant carriage).

The train route passes through the iconic cultural and historical centers of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Over the course of six days, tour participants will visit the largest architectural and historical monuments, including the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum, the Otyrar settlement in Turkestan, the Ark Fortress and Lyabi-Khauz Square in Bukhara, the Amir Timur Mausoleum and Registan Square in Samarkand, the Tole Bi Mausoleum and the Hazrati Imam Memorial Complex in Tashkent, etc. The price of the tourist package includes travel on the tourist train, a tourist program with professional guides, excursions with entrance tickets, and transfers organized by tour operators.

The tourist train is organized by KTZ with the assistance of Uzbekistan Railways, the Tourism Committee and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh Tourism.

The launch of the tourist train "Jibek Joly" is an important step in the development of railway tourism, contributing to the strengthening of cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the popularization of the historical heritage of the region.
